At this unique workshop, our visiting holistic therapist and wellness coach, Ms. Amy Djouri, will share her knowledge and enable you to practically experience the essence of sound healing with Tibetan singing bowls. In commemoration of the 5th UN International Day of Yoga 2019, Aasana Yoga Studio, Burjeel Medical Centre and Yogi Mohammed Dohadwala are collaborating to host a unique health and wellness workshop, under the patronage of the Embassy of India, Oman.


The workshop will feature a talk by Dr. Francy Pulikkan (MBBS, MD, Internal Medicine, Burjeel Medical Centre) on prevention and management of chronic lifestyle diseases with a holistic approach. The event will also include a Qi Gong session, a holistic practice of coordinated body posture, movement, breathing and meditation conducted by Yogi Mohammed Dohadwala and a Power Yoga session conducted by Yogini Shobha (Aasana Yoga Studio), followed by a meditation experience and a Q&A session. Ramadan Yoga Classes

Yin Yoga is a practice that encourages people to slow down by immersing in the kind of stillness that can lead to the expansion of consciousness. Highly influenced by the philosophies of traditional Chinese medicine, the physical postures of Yin targets the deep connective tissues of the body - the ligaments, joints, bones, and deep fascia networks while releasing deeply held tension in the body and mind. Many of us live very active (yang) lifestyles and leave little time to foster the quiet side. Over time this can be physically, mentally, and emotionally draining. Through the yin practice we can restore equilibrium and feel whole again.

This unique workshop will be conducted by Helen Sayers, an author, professional development trainer and value-based educator. Helen lived in Oman for nine years where she directed a company, Oasis Life-skills Training Services. She currently lives in France but frequently returns to her 'second home', Oman, to facilitate professional development workshops. Helen uses meditation in many areas of her life and was an active member of the Muscat Raja Yoga Meditation Centre when she lived in the Sultanate.

The Embassy of India, Muscat, will be celebrating the 4th International Day of Yoga on the 21st of June 2018, which will include a Special Yoga Session.
